On September 24, 2016 the Odyssey Charter School of Wilmington (for background information on the School, see the link <\/strong>(<a href=\"http:\/\/odysseycharterschooldel.com\/index.html\">http:\/\/odysseycharterschoolde l.com\/index.html<\/a>; also, HL Bulletin 126, March 2015<strong>) will be presenting to the community day-long ceremonies and events celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the founding of the School and extolling its phenomenal growth <\/strong><strong>and accomplishments in its first decade<\/strong><strong>.\u00a0In the following pages, the pioneers and protagonists of the continuing, through\u00a0concerted and most effective cooperation, educational miracle give us details of the festivities planned for their Great Day. Anniversary on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 10am, and we request the honor of your presence for our celebrations and formal presentation.<\/p>\n<p>The two-hour presentation will be impressive on all levels.\u00a0 From the &#8220;Parade of Nations&#8221; by students of the School to the lighting of the Olympic Flame and the kick-off of our 10th\u00a0annual 5k Walk\/Run, this ceremony will celebrate the impressive growth and future of the School with the dedication of the newly acquired 36-acre Barley Mill Campus.\u00a0 The program includes a short video presentation of a partnership forged by our School with the three\u00a0schools of the Municipality of Ancient Olympia, and all the other festivities that were performed at the ancient grounds.\u00a0 A highlight will be the presentation of the Olympic Torch and\u00a0Flame by two 2016 Greek Champion Athletes.\u00a0 The torch is from the 2004 Athens Games and a gift from the Mayor of the Municipality. The\u00a0Athletes will also bring wreaths made by students of our sister schools, using branches from their sacred olive groves.\u00a0 The wreaths will be presented to the winners of the 5k.\u00a0 There will also be a buffet of Greek delicacies following the 5k for all to enjoy.<\/p>\n<p>We are truly excited about this milestone, and hope that you will be able to join us for this momentous
